Allison Ohle
Chair of the Board
A first-generation college student, Allison is a proud Banana Slug with a BA Psych from UC Santa Cruz, and also has a Master's in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School. While the world-class education derived from those two institutions has been formative, Allison's greatest teachers have been her students in the South Bronx and West Oakland, as well as the two small humans that she and her husband are raising in San Diego. With a history including senior leadership positions at High Tech High and KIPP San Diego, she now leads her own consulting company: providing strategic planning, thought partnership, anti-racist learning and high-quality execution on projects. Never afraid of hard decisions or discomfort, she seeks to develop systems, build frameworks and adjust mindsets to further the missions of the organizations she supports.
Allison's work is rooted in the recognition that talent is equally distributed, but opportunity is not. She leads with compassion and authenticity and seeks practical solutions to one of our most challenging problems: working so that our democracy can deliver on its promise.
Allison is drawn to TKF because of its foundation based in love and forgiveness. She knows that the world will change when we all start recognizing and honoring the childhood and humanity in our communities of color.
Allison is a regular practitioner of yoga, and also enjoys eating, drinking and laughing with people she loves.
